Starshatter: The Gathering Storm, es una expansión del Starshatter. A diferencia del juego original, Starshatter: The Gathering Storm incrementará nuestro liderazgo de forma progresiva desde unos comienzos como simple piloto hasta el grado de capitán de toda una flota. Para alcanzar semejante grado deberemos hacer muestra de nuestra habilidad en batalla y ganar condecoraciones.
