Año 2142, la Tierra ha sufrido las consecuencias del cambio climático y se ha producido una enorme glaciación a lo largo de todo el planeta. Sólo unas pocas zonas son habitables y varias facciones luchan por ella. Escoge tu bando y combate al lado de tus camaradas.
Este es el argumento de Battlefield 2142, la última versión del popular juego de acción multijugador que ahora te ofrece armas futuristas, vehículos increíbles y unos mapas de gran tamaño para enfrentamientos de hasta 64 jugadores.
Aparte de las novedades en cuanto a unidades y vehículos se ha incluido un nuevo modo de juego: Titan. En este tipo de partida tendrás que eliminar la nave nodriza enemiga (el Titan). Para ello deberás primero eliminar sus escudos, algo que sólo se puede hacer mediante el control de unas plataformas de misiles "anti-Titan". Una vez conseguido este objetivo, tú y tus compañeros de equipo tendréis que abordarla y eliminar una serie de consolas que controlan la nave nodriza.
Battlefield 2142 ofrece una versión actualizada del motor gráfico de Battlefield 2, el cual ha sido, sobre todo, optimizado para funcionar en máquinas menos potentes. Además, el modo online que permite ascender en los grado militares de cada bando también ha sido mejorado con nuevas opciones que permiten desbloquear acciones especiales de nuestros soldados.

Please note that this release will ONLY work in single-player and LAN mode at
this time. Also note that EA decided to use an online-based profile creation,
but thankfully your friends at the blade have included a default user profile
that can easily be modified to suit your own preferences. ;)
Step 1.
Unpack, mount/burn, install the game, use the keymaker from the \Razor1911 dir
or any of the following keys:
Step 2
Copy the crack from the \Razor1911 dir into your installation directory.
Step 3
Unpack Default_profile.zip into %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\.
Then open %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\0001\Profile.con
with a text editor and change its content to your likings.
The following fields might be of interest:

Step 4
Start the game, when prompted by the login prompt, enter whatever you used for
LocalProfile.setEAOnlineMasterAccount. If you didn't change anything in
Profile.con this will be "Razor1911". You will be prompted by a box telling
you are playing in offline mode, press 'OK'. Now select your profile and the game
will start!
