Dungeon Siege II lleva a los jugadores a un tierra de Aranna profundamente dividida por una guerra civil, en la que tendrán que liderar un grupo de guerreros en el enfrentamiento con un ser maligno que pretende dominar el mundo. El argumento promete ser mucho más profundo que el de su predecesor.
Otros de los puntos fuertes del juego serán su motor gráfico 3D de última generación o el soporte para partidas multijugador cooperativas.
