Superhot es un genuino título de Acción en primera persona "donde el tiempo sólo se mueve cuando el jugador se mueve" en el que destaca su cuidado apartado visual minimalista y original concepto de juego. No hay salud regenerativa, ni packs de munición convenientemente colocados. El jugador será superado en número y potencia, pero podrá agarrar las armas de los enemigos caídos par disparar, rebanar cuerpos o maniobrar a través de un huracán de balas a cámara lenta.
