Ubisoft's UPlay Includes Security Exploit You Need to Remove Immediately
Latest wrong turn for Ubisoft's DRM puts users at serious security risk.

Paying customers frustrated and angry: 99%. Pirates thwarted: 0%. I'd say that about sums up Ubisoft's score when it comes to the studio's DRM tech and PC gaming, particularly with this latest bit of news: Cyber experts say Ubisoft's mandatory UPlay network features "really bad, easily exploitable" code that creates serious security risks for all who use it.

A step-by-step video now making the rounds on the internet shows how holes in UPlay can be exploited by hackers, allowing them to search your files and take control of your PC. Speaking with CVG, Trend Micro Director of Security Research Rik Ferguson said the UPlay security flaw creates a huge risk that Ubisoft must address immediately.

The browser plug-in Ferguson describes is automatically created during the UPlay installation. Disable it immediately by following these steps:

Firefox: Tools – Add-ons – Plugins – Disable the Uplay and Uplay PC Hub plugins

Chrome: Customize and Control (the wrench in the upper right corner) - Settings - Show Advanced Settings - Privacy section, click Content Settings - Plugins section, click Disable Individual Plugins - Disable UPlay

Opera: Settings – Preferences – Advanced – Downloads – Search 'Uplay' and delete

alguien tiene alguna pagina "bien explicada" que detalle que es FSAA, antialiasing y TODAS las opciones graficas avanzadas que traen los juegos hoy en dia.

es para saber que hay que tocar y que no, y para que sirve... porque muchas veces todos hacemos "pongo todo a full" y no siempre ayuda poner todo a full.... o la placa de video no se lo aguanta y nunca se que conviene bajar.

A pesar de los fallos de Uplay que todavía esta recontra verde ( asi de verde) están vendiendo por los días de la gamecon juegos a 1 dolar y algunos con 75% de descuento. Si calculo el tiempo que me toma conseguir los cracks, insultar, hacer que ande, ver que no me anda todo, buscar otro crack, esquivar los viruses y demás me jugué y gasté 1 dolar y me acabo de comprar el silent hunter (a hundir barquitos se ha dicho). Ese está hoy a 1 dolar y mañana está el Drive, por si a alguien le interesa la oferta está más que buena. Si no hubiera jugado los assesins creed me los hubiera comprado (7.50 me parece que está el último). Para aprovechar me parece.
