Hola Yo instalé el juego sin el update (Solo el paquete de idiomas) me anda bien.
Lo dejo así o puedo tener problemas más adelante en alguna parte?
La resolucion la tengo en 1024 x 768 pero me interesa solo que ande el juego que es increíble.

Mirá... siempre lo recomendable es actualizar a la última versión, pero..... siendo este un juego que ha tenido tantos problemas, si te anda bien y no tenés ningún problema, no sería descabellado dejarlo como está. Tené en cuenta que el parche agrega varias opciones gráficas como para poder configurar el juego más detalladamente, y que es importante tener los drivers de vga actualizados a su última versión. En el caso de tener problemas siempre estás a tiempo de actualizar, pero si tu inquietud es si el juego se va a "clavar" en algún lado por no tener el parche, que yo sepa no ha habido problemas de ese tipo, el parche está mas orientado a la optimización del manejo gráfico del juego que a corregir bugs que impidan su correcto desarrollo.

Si, la verdad que es medio raro el final... El juego no estuvo tan mal, pero es como que "quiere y no puede", algunas misiones están buenas, pero no redondea bien como juego, en mi opinión al menos.

Eso venía a preguntar, che... ni me gasto en bajarlo entonces? Se solucionaron al final los problemas de texturas? Qué macana che, le tenía fe a la gente de idSoftware... Ademas erraron feo, porque encima que hace una bocha que no sacan un juego, ahora sacan uno que anda mal? Se cavaron su propia tumba...

lo instale y no andaba, funciono cuando le baje los nuevos drivers, pero se me cuelga cada 1seg no paso de los primeros 40 segs que se me caga el juego. si instalo el patch nuevo este de 1gb funcionara?? tengo una HD 4850 gracias!

Despues de tanto tiempo pense que podria jugar rage por fin pero no. Yo tenia un problemas de texturas por que todo el juego me salia en azul todo era de color azul. Lei todo el foro buscando respuestas, al final decidi cambiar drivers y ya dan los colores las texturas pero el juego tiene otro problemas de texturas ya antes mencionadas en este tema. Que mal

ufff me parece que para ese premio hay muuuchos antes... Flatout 3, Call of Juarez The Cartel, Duke Nuken Forever, Jurasic Park The Game, Afterfall, Dead Island etc...

Tengo que decir que el RAGE no lo jugué más de 5 horas (falta de tiempo, y juegos que tenía con más prioridad..), y aunque no colma las espectativas que se crearon desde que se vieron las primeras imágenes y vídeos del juego, tampoco creo que sea un mal juego... (mi opinión).
Seguramente si desde que salió, no tuviese el dichoso problema de las texturas (ni lo notas después de jugar 20 minutos), el juego sería mejor recibido...
Aún así, no olvidemos que el juego fue puntuado con un 9,1 en consolas, y un 8,6 en PC... y hay muchos juegos muy buenos por debajo de esa puntuación...

En mi opinión es un juego que tiene sus cosas muy buenas, y algunas malas... pero en conjunto es un gran juego... impagables los mejores escenarios y momentos puntuales del juego

Vos esperabas algo de un juego con el subtitulo "The Cartel" ?? jeje que optimista estimado, coincido en parte con el dead island, yo esperaba más, solo quedo a mitad de camino, pero la primera hora está re buena che!! te da la sensación de estar en una isla solo contra los zombies, pero cuando metieron el tema de q mi sangre "era especial" se fue a la mierd# todo. luego repetitivo a mas no poder. Espero agarrarlo en un buen time al rage

RAGE 1.2 Patch Release Notes

This RAGE patch adds some new features and addresses various compatibility and performance issues.

New Functionality
------------------------
Texture Detail: Enabling Texture Detail will improve up-close texture quality by performing upsampling with adaptive sharpening. This does not update or increase the resolution of the base textures included with the game but improves the perceived resolution and crispness of textures. This is an intensive operation and is only recommended if you have a quad-core CPU or higher. Please disable this feature if you encounter poor performance, stability issues or are given a notification that the game has run out of memory after loading a map. The Texture Detail option can be found in the Settings -> Video Menu.

Transcode Benchmark: A new benchmark has been added that determines how quickly texture data can be translated from the compressed format on your hard drive to a format that can be used by your video card. The higher your score, the faster your PC is able to make higher detail texture data available. This is not a traditional benchmark that runs through a scene of the game and returns a min/max/average framerate based on hardware and video settings. Other than the GPU Transcode option, the score will not be affected by changing any video settings. The Transcode Benchmark option can be found in the Settings -> Video Menu.

Error Messaging: If you attempt to apply video settings on a system that is not capable of handling them, an error may come up stating that your system ran out of memory. You will be allowed to continue, however, it is recommended that you either reduce your video settings until this message no longer occurs or you will be asked to restart the game with lower video settings. If you ignore this error and continue playing without altering your settings you will likely encounter texture corruption and/or system instability.

Automatic Video Settings Fallbacks: When an advanced video setting fails to apply, the setting may be set back to a safe default. Anti-aliasing will fall back to NONE if the allocation of a multi-sampled FBO fails. Texture Cache will fall back to SMALL when the allocation of a large texture cache fails. Texture Detail will fall back to OFF when large page table allocations fail. On failure, these settings will automatically fall back to safe values without the need for user input.

- Fixed crash from using SIMD optimized memcpy with a PBO pointer that is not 16-byte aligned.
- Fixed GPU transcode option always turning off when restarting the game.
- Fixed progression in Dead City where player could not advance through sliding door en route to the defibrillator upgrade.
- Fixed CPU feature detection.
- Fixed issues with launching MP by using double quotes around path name.
- Fixed lack of texture detail on parts of the screen at high resolutions due to limited feedback analysis buffer.
- Fixed thread stack space usage and freed up 700 MB of virtual address space.
- Re-enabled UBOs.
- Adjustments to default VDM values for balance.
