Continuando con el éxito que fue Assassins’s Creed 2 en el 2009, Ubisoft nos trae la continuación de la saga con esta nueva entrega, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Como sabemos, Assassin’s Creed 2 narraba la historia de otro Ezio Auditore, un antepasado de Desmond Miles, el cual su “dolce vita” da un giro repentino al ser asesinado injustamente su padre, Giovani Auditore, y a sus 2 hermanos, Federico y Petrucio Auditore. Desarrollando la historia Ezio se alía con su tío, Mario Auditore, el cual forma parte de una legión antigua de asesinos, que luchan contra la corrupta orden templaría en una larga guerra que databa desde las primeras cruzadas. Ezio consigue asesinar a los responsables de los asesinatos de su padre y continúa su vida siguiendo el Credo de los Asesinos.
En esta nueva entrega seguiremos la historia desde donde termino la entrega anterior, tomaremos igualmente el papel de Ezio Auditore, ya mayor y convertido en un maestro asesino, el cual al regresar a la Villa Auditore, esta es atacada por la orden templaría y durante la batalla su tío, Mario Auditore es asesinado y además la orden templaría roban la Manzana del Edén, el tesoro que dará poder absoluto a su poseedor. Ezio dolido por la muerte de su tío, buscara venganza por su muerte.
