FIFA MANAGER 11 incluye una larga serie de novedosas características. El juego ha experimentado múltiples mejoras en general, con énfasis especial en las áreas de mayor importancia. Incluye además un modo online independiente, introducido en la versión anterior, en el que hasta 8 jugadores podrán enfrentarse a través de Internet.
El mánager sigue teniendo el control total de la gestión del club de fútbol. En el juego, eres el responsable de la alineación, la táctica y los entrenamientos del equipo, además de las contrataciones de nuevos jugadores y de las mejoras de las instalaciones del club y del estadio. Entre los aspectos más notables se encuentra el motor FIFA 3D, más de 13.000 imágenes de jugadores originales, el modo de gestión de jugador, el modo de gestión de selección nacional, el modo Crea un club y la herramienta Pronóstico de partido.
