Gracias emacrack, pero seguro es algo mas del windows, porque como vos decis las carpetas esas las debe crear la primera vez que corre el programa pero como a mi me da ese error no llega a crearlas.

Claro, yo te decía para que cuando intente arrancar tome la configuración que tenés almacenada y así podés ir probando cambiar cosas y ver si es problema de los seteos por defecto que se utilizan la 1º vez. Veremos que pasa, es raro que no hayan dado una solución todavía. He leído a usuarios que el update "Sid.Meiers.Civilization.V.Update.1-SKIDROW (59 MB)" tampoco soluciona lo de XP a los que no les va. Saludos

Gente, el mismo problema. Update 2 instalado y sigue sin funcionar. Algo curioso: Traté de jugar sin reemplazar el archivo civilizationv.exe y pasó que creo la carpeta C:\Documents and Settings\Administrador\Mis documentos\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5. Y en vez de tirar un mensaje de error, parece como que quiere arrancar y aparece una pantalla negra y se cierra enseguida.
Por favor, informen si a alguien le funcionón en XP SP3.

Con el tema del XP quizás la gente de skidrow no volvió a crackear el exe actualizado dejó el mismo de la primer versión y por eso sigue dando el error. Ojo, estoy haciendo una suposición flashera nomás, no tengo el update para comparar. Espero que se solucione pronto!!
