Concretamente, en Watchmen tendremos que liquidar los niveles de escoria, y ése es el único objetivo y la única forma de avanzar. Independientemente de cual sea el nivel, la estructura es la misma: zonas bastante abiertas, con gran amplitud para permitir las peleas de nuestros héroes contra una docena de enemigos, y una vez hayan mordido el polvo se abrirá la puerta correspondiente o sucederá el evento de turno para que podamos avanzar al siguiente trozo de nivel, del mismo perfil, y así vuelta a empezar. No hay puzles, únicamente pequeñas interacciones (accionar palanca, etc…), y la misión del jugador consiste única y exclusivamente en golpear a los enemigos, con la ayuda de nuestro compañero, controlado tanto por un jugador como por la inteligencia artificial.
